In the heart of the hills surrounding Lake Garda, a former barn is transformed into a contemporary residence, where light, natural materials, and conviviality merge in perfect balance. The architectural project focuses on essential lines, light surfaces, and sophisticated textures to enhance the space and landscape.
Kitchen with steel island: conviviality and function
The heart of the project is the large open space living area, dominated by the kitchen with a central steel island: a monolithic and luminous volume, designed to unite function and relationship. The island reflects natural light and invites participation, transforming preparation into a moment of authentic sharing
Intimate atmospheres and scenic details
Next to the island, the dining table becomes the focal point of domestic conviviality, accompanied by the light of the Flos Sky Garden lamp that adds theatricality and warmth. Its white dome, decorated with floral bas-reliefs, creates an intimate and suspended atmosphere.
The large plank wood floor unifies the spaces with a warm and natural continuity, while steel and matte black finishes complete the atmosphere with a touch of modern elegance.
Outdoor: the sea in your own garden
Outside, a 12×6 meter overflow pool with saltwater and dark liner evokes the depth of Lake Garda. The mirror-like effect of the water reflects sky and nature, creating a liquid horizon that amplifies the sense of tranquility and suspension.
Essential architecture for contemporary living
This former barn is reborn as a house of light and silence, where every element – from material choices to space organization – is designed to enhance the essence of architecture that exalts daily life and connection with Garda’s nature.
